Just in time for St Patrick’s day, Ireland’s tourism board has announced a new social game on Facebook called “Ireland Town“. Is this the first of many more social games based on existing cities, countries, nation-states? Articles and analysis from:

Silicon Republic ” Ireland Town will appear on 10 of Tourism Ireland’s Facebook pages, including France, Spain, Great Britain, the US, Italy, Canada, Germany, the Nordic Region, and the Netherlands. “

Metro (includes video) ” In between harvesting spuds and/or serving up pints of Guinness and/or feeding tourists endless slices of soda bread, Ireland Town players can treat themselves to virtual trips around the Emerald Isle. “
