GameGround gains ground with $5.3 Million funding

GameGround launches to provide social gaming features and apps to game players. Articles and analysis from: ” Essentially, GameGround aims to be the leaderboard of all games. Players can also find new games to play on the various platforms based on what they’re playing already, which is starting to become somewhat of a trend.”

Vator.TV ” GameGround is, as you may have already guessed, not the only one that is looking to break into this niche. One competitor is a company called Gamersband, which is based in France, and raised $500,000 in October of this year for a very similar service.”

VentureBeat ” The company’s rivals vary widely, from Microsoft’s Xbox Live, a single-platform social network for Xbox 360 players, to the multiplatform Raptr, which probably bears the most resemblance to GameGround.”
