Microsoft announces major initiatives involving their social gaming strategy including a partnership with CrowdStar. Articles and analysis from:

MarketingVox “ Microsoft has given the social gaming space a huge boost with its introduction of a new gaming hub that connects its three major social gaming portals.”

InsideSocialGames ” The deal is more encompassing than the one that Microsoft previously had with Zynga, in which it only featured FarmVille on MSN Games.”

CNET ” Included as part of the gaming-hub interface are a friends list, game invitations, high scores, and integrated status updates from places such as Windows Live Messenger and Twitter. “

BusinessWeek ” Microsoft is overhauling the MSN Games site to let players compete with each other across Web properties including Bing Games and Windows Live Messenger, the companies said today in a statement.”
