Social Gaming giant Zynga rolls out localized versions of its online poker game to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Articles and analysis from:

TechCrunch ” Now, the game is available in China as well as on Facebook in Hong Kong and Taiwan as Zynga Texas Poker and can be played in traditional Chinese or English. Of course, Zynga’s game is only available on Facebook in Hong Kong and Taiwan as Facebook is largely blocked in mainland China.”

VentureBeat ” Zynga has approached the market with some savvy. The players get 8,888 Vegas-style poker chips, since the No. 8 is lucky in Chinese. And players will be able to compete in a local Shootout tournament for a grand prize of $880,000 Taiwanese dollars. ”

USA Today ” — 5.6 million people globally play Zynga Poker daily (54 times the number of people that visit Las Vegas daily).”

Gamezebo” Expect all of Zynga’s games to be localized for over 10 different languages within 12 months.”
