Zynga acquires Tokyo based mobile games developer Unoh as it looks to quickly expand in Japan. Articles and analysis by:

BusinessWeek ” Zynga Japan plans to work with Unoh to tweak its own social games for the Japanese market, Zynga said in a statement.”

DigitalEastAsia ” The release did not provide any details on the acquisition price but previous reports valued it in the neighborhood of “several billion Yen” where one billion Yen converts to US$11.6 million.”

VentureBeat ” Unoh, founded in 2001, is one of the top social game companies in Japan with titles such as Machitsuku!, Band Yarouyo! and Kaizoku Chronicle.”
